You'll find a warm welcome in this ever blooming paradise - an island of love, flowers, birds and nice people.

 

I have lived 17 years on the island and worked as a tour guide, so I will be happy to give you all sorts of tips.

 

 

In "Caniço de Baixo" you can enjoy a relaxing stay in a cosy, fullyfurnished flat, situated near a wild, romantic coast with hidden, untouched beaches.From here, all kinds of outdoor activities can be organised.You can try mountain-biking, hill-climbing, walking along levadas (an age-old irrigation system) and all kinds of watersports.

 

If you want to enjoy warm summer nights in winter, then Madeira is the place for you. Winter is particularly mild  here because of the position just above the sea level - even in summer it is never "too hot". The climate on the south coast is fantastic - all year round warm.

 

In the morning you sniff the scent of the sea. Canico de Baixo is a cozy village with flower gardens, 12 km from Funchal, near bus service there. We live on the Ponta. d. Oliviera

 

5 minutes walk and you are in the public and romantic point

 

Your 50 square meter flat includes a bedroom with balcony, a glass-fronted dining room facing the sea, a fully equipped kitchen , bathroom and toilet. It's ideal accomodation for two persons, with space for two guests in the dining room. Transport from the airport can be arranged by our friendly driver, Mauricio.

The apartment is conveniently located near the swimming pools and two diving centers in the underwater national park and has a magnificent unobstructed view to the sea.

For the apartment, I settle  for two persons Euro 55,00 per day  and two pers. + cleaning at the finishes her travels

The keys:
If Mauricio is picking you up from the airport, he will open the flat. (Euro 20,00)

On departure, please remember to place the keys back where you found them. If you have arranged your own transport, you should pick up the keys at nearby Sommers (three blocks away). Cheap car and motorcycles:
The cars are brought to you, or pass at the airport. I can give you help with the order!

"Vila Ventura":
Around the corner is Vila Ventura, a very nice hotel run by friends. Here you can have breakfast if you like. You also can book for all your outdoor activities such as biking, hiking, diving and sailing. You are welcome to join their regular barbecues

The yacht bar "Ventura" is ready to serve you a sundowner or whatever. Check with the bartender. You can swim nearby in two rocky bays or in well-appointed seawater pools at Roca Mar and Galomar. Down a narrow path, 150 meters to the left of Hotel Galomar, you come to a secluded pebble beach which you'll really love.

Meals:
A plain and uninviting restaurant may serve the most delicious of meals. The smartest of places may disappoint. One exception on the road to Caniço Village is the "Klenk's Cafe", which is highly recommended. Many restaurants serve the local deep sea espada (scabbard fish). Another Madeiran speciality is espetada (beef on a spit). They do a good one at Vila Ventura.

At the end of your stay, the cleaning fee has to be paid directly at Sommer's office.Whatever you want to know about Madeira and your stay, don't hesitate to contact us.
